I go to an awesome school, and i’m really into dance. My school has no dance team, but my headmaster says that he doesn’t want to get one because he doesn’t want us to have cliques and stuff. I feel like this isn’t fair because they have teams for all sorts of sports except dance and everyone should have a chance to join a club that they like at school. Do you have any ideas about how i cant change my headmaster’s mind and about where i can find people that will want to help?

I go to a very small school. I dance at my dance studio 6 hours a week. I really want to be on a dance team because it would be like a sport, something I could represent my school in. The only problem is we don’t have one. How do I start a dance team for my school? Do we need a specific teacher or anything?

I want to join a dance team, but do not know the difference.

Is the pom and dance team more of a cheer leading team?
Then if it is, how come we have a cheer leading team and a pom and dance team?

I know that this is not the dance section, but no one answered it in there.
Or is pom dance more like a “band dancing” team?

I am 14 and I want to try out for my high school dance team in spring and I have no dance experience. What kinds of dance moves can I practice before tryouts to help me prepare? I already know that I need to practice c jumps, turning c jumps, double pirouettes, and fouettes. Help?
